Jahrhunderts, Sprache: Deutsch, summary: Die Entwicklung der kriminologischen Theorien in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts in Russland wurde von einem Diskurs zwischen Literatur und Wissenschaft begleitet. Nicht nur die französische, sondern auch die italienische Schule spielte bei diesem Diskurs eine große Rolle, wobei Erstere sich verstärkt mit dem Thema Degeneration/Entartung im psychiatrischen Sinne auseinandergesetzte, während Letztere Cesare Lombrosos kriminalanthropologische Theorien zur Grundlage hatte. Die französische ging wie die italienische Schule davon aus, dass es neben dem Kulturmenschen, dem durchschnittlichen Mitglied der Gesellschaft, eine andere shape des Menschen, den sogenannten verhinderten Menschen, gab, der eine paintings biologische Andersartigkeit aufweist. Diese biologische Andersartigkeit kann zum einen in einer ausgeprägten Triebhaftigkeit bzw. im moralischen Irrsinn nachgewiesen werden. Zum anderen tragen solche verhinderte Menschen ihre biologische Andersartigkeit in shape von bestimmten Stigmata mit sich und können somit aufgrund ihrer körperlichen Merkmale als solche identifiziert werden. Die Theorien von Lombroso über Atavismus fanden in Russland großen Anklang und wurden zusätzlich durch sozialwissenschaftliche Theorien ergänzt. Demnach gab es nicht nur “geborene Verbrecher”, sondern ebenfalls solche, die durch gewisse Milieueinflüsse zu einem solchen werden konnten.1

In der russischen Literatur griff eine Vielzahl von Wissenschaftlern und Schriftstellern die Thematik des “geborenen Verbrechers” auf und versuchte entweder die Theorien von Lombroso zu stärken oder diese zu negieren. So etwa Lev Tolstoj, der in seinem Roman “Voskresenie” (1899) Lombrosos Theorien über den “geborenen Verbrecher” zu widerlegen suchte. Weitere Autoren, wie etwa A. Svirskij oder V. Giljarovskij, setzten sich in ihren literarischen Werken ebenfalls mit der Thematik des “geborenen Verbrechers” auseinander, indem sie die Thematik der Verbrecherräume bzw. Elendsviertel und deren Bewohner aufgriffen und ausführlich behandelt haben.
