Nous avons des ennuis, mon pote.

If you’re interested in the linguistics of it all,

basically to be in trouble is ‘avoir des annuis’, then you need to conjugate it according to personal pronoun. We = nous; because you are using a phrase which uses the avoir verb, you need to use the ‘avons’, meaning literrally ‘to have trouble’, not sommes, as you’d expect.

Mon pote, is a slang term for friend, but you could also use ‘mon copain’ or ‘mon ami’ < adding e's accordingly depending on gender 🙂
