How do you say hello my friend in French?

I would like to be able to say this in French “Hello, my friend. I miss you and I hope you are doing well. What’s new with you?”.

‘Hello’ in French is Bonjour, so ‘Hello my friend’ would be translated as: “Bonjour, mon ami”.
